City of San Bernardino's California Theatre

🌳 AROUND THE GROVES

San Bernardino’s historic California Theatre of the Performing Arts reopens with a nerve-shredding production of Misery on October 18-19.

Audiences have just two matinee shows to see William Goldman's intense stage adaptation of Stephen King’s story, where bestselling author Paul Sheldon is rescued—then imprisoned—by his most obsessed fan, Annie Wilkes, after a car wreck.

Sarah Summers stars as Annie, channeling chilling instability, with Aaron Pyle as the imperiled writer, and Jacob Fischer as the sheriff.

The production marks the debut of the theatre’s $6 million renovation, featuring upgraded seating and sound in a newly polished venue.

Director Joseph Henson promises a live theatrical experience with nowhere to hide—viewers must face every tense moment up close.

This psychological thriller offers San Bernardino a rare, unforgettable brush with Broadway-level suspense.

Back in 1979, a funeral in Redlands typically cost just $2,000—a sum comparable to buying a used car.

Today, families face $8,000 to $15,000 for similar services in California, not including cemetery plots, headstones, or receptions.

These rising costs add serious financial strain, especially for long-time Redlands residents on fixed incomes.

Recognizing this, even the IRS treats life insurance as an essential expense—highlighting its value in family financial planning.

When final expenses hit, loved ones are often left scrambling, with retirement savings depleted or adult children bearing unexpected costs.

Final expense insurance covers much more than just funerals, helping with medical bills, mortgages, and travel.

For many in Redlands, this protection means peace of mind, preserved savings, and assurance that their wishes are honored.

Planning now can shield your family from tomorrow’s rising costs.
