🏗️ Development & Transformation

The Redlands Mall Is Finally Coming Down

After years sitting shuttered behind chain-link fencing, demolition of the long-closed Redlands Mall site is beginning this week. The former Denny's building at the corner goes first — the most visible piece of a teardown that a lot of Redlands residents have been watching from the car for years.

The Dangermond project — which will eventually bring new life to the site — is still in design phase, but the machines are on-site now and the transformation has officially begun. For anyone who grew up in Redlands, this is one of those moments. The end of something familiar, and the slow beginning of something new.

The Cherry Festival Has a New Home — and It's Big

Mark your calendar: May 28–31, 2026. The Beaumont Cherry Festival — one of the Inland Empire's most beloved annual traditions — is moving to a brand-new venue: a 30-acre parcel the city acquired across from Mountain View Middle School. New space, same heart.

The Cherry Festival has been a cornerstone of Beumont community life for generations. A new 30-acre home means more room, more vendors, more room for families to spread out — and a fresh chapter for a tradition that isn't going anywhere. Details on vendors and entertainment are still coming together, but the dates are locked and the excitement is real.

📅 Save the date: Cherry Festival 2026 · May 28–31 · New 30-acre site, across from Mountain View Middle School · Beaumonth, CA
