Trending 🍊 GROVE STREET HEADLINES🎭 ARTS & CULTURE A New Era for the Redlands SymphonyThe Redlands Symphony Orchestra has officially named Deanna Tham as its ninth music director and conductor. She'll take the podium starting July 1 for the 2026-2027 season, which also happens to be the orchestra's 75th anniversary. Tham comes to Redlands with an impressive resume. She's currently the music director of the Union Symphony Orchestra in North Carolina and has held conducting positions with the Oregon, Omaha, and Jacksonville symphonies. The board noted they were specifically drawn to her "captivating and tenacious spirit" and her focus on community-centric musical events and education. The Symphony is a massive part of what makes Redlands unique — not many towns our size can support a professional orchestra of this caliber. Bringing in fresh leadership ahead of a milestone anniversary is a big deal for the local arts scene. One last thing before I let you go.
That Don't Tell Comedy show on Saturday — if you've never been to one of these, I'm telling you right now: grab your tickets. You will not be disappointed. Liz and I caught one the last time they came through town and we had an absolute blast. The whole concept — secret location, surprise comics, BYOB, intimate crowd — just works. It's one of those nights where you walk in not knowing what to expect and walk out saying "we need to do that again." Get the tickets. Bring someone you like. Thank me later. → DontTellComedy.com — Redlands, Saturday March 21 That's everything for this week. Stay cool, Redlands. Drink your water. Check on your neighbors. And yes — I mean stay cool literally. It's 100+ degrees out there. — Carlos Samaniego, EA RedlandsNow.com is your weekly insider guide to Redlands, California.
